World War I Day by Day

A very useful book charting as a timeline across each of its pages the events that happened on a particular day.  Its clearly laid out format makes it easy to find events and to place them in context.  It deals with all the theatres of WW1 and where appropiate the political situation at the time. Necessarily the comments against each entry are brief and the reader would need ot go to a more comprehensive source to fill in details.  Nevertheless this is the ideal way to place events in sequence and get a quick overview of of battles onland and sea.  It is well illustrated with photographs and maps.  This book has a place in the library of any student of WW1.
