IoW Rifles heavy losses

The Isle of Wight Rifles suffered heavy casualties on the 15th of August 1915 in an attack on the left flank of Suvla Bay while supporting the Munster Fusiliers.  They in turn were supported by fire from destroyers laying just off shore. At the end of the battle that day they dug in to conserve the gains that they had made.
